MODEL 1DDB18H (HYDRAULIC) DISC-DRUM-BRUSH SKIMMER

LAYNE Commercial Services line of disc-drum-brush skimmers are designed for both portability and extreme durability on the toughest jobs. Various length 18” diameter oleophilic drum-brushes are capable of recovering hydrocarbons at rates of 25 – 60 gallons per minute. This easily deployable unit is ideal for inland and marsh spills, since it is capable of operating at water depths as shallow as 6″.

Components of the DISC-DRUM-BRUSH SKIMMER SYSTEMS are detailed as follows:

• The DISC-DRUM-BRUSH SKIMMER FLOTATION UNIT is constructed of lightweight aluminum. Lifting handles and boom connector attachment points are provided. This hydraulically driven skimmer offers portability to spill sites that may be difficult to reach.
• The DIESEL HYDRAULIC POWER PACK offers dual circuits for powering both the disc-drum-brush skimmer and the oil transfer pump. Independent flow controls allow for separate speed adjustment of drum-brush rotation and pumping speeds.
• The hydraulically driven Transfer Pump can be a quick couple on-board centrifugal submersible or a lightweight diaphragm pump separate from the skimmer, which allows for the transfer pump to be used for other duties when not in use with the disc-drum-brush skimmer.
